It’s In Our Blood
Liberation Hall, 2026

The New Orleans outfit, Red Rockers, captured these 15 tracks at a 2023 show in their hometown, where tunes from their 1981 debut album are present and appreciated.
The set starts with “I’m So Bored Of The U.S.A.”, where John Thomas Griffith’s driving guitar and Bryan Barberot’s scrappy drumming do justice to the classic tune, and “Teenage Underground” follows with John Singletary’s raw yet tuneful pipes surrounded by the melodic rhythm section that invites singing-along.
Moving along, “Know What I Think” chugs with a dense pace of thumping drums and animated guitars, while “Grow Up” is a quick blast of old school punk that’s raw and anthemic.
Getting close to the end, “Voice Of America” makes great use of Darren Hill’s bass playing via the hard hitting and charged disc highlight, and “Guns Of Revolution” exits with group vocals amid the tense and anger fueled formula.
Red Rockers were active from ‘79-’85, are often considered the ‘American Clash’, and their firm punk rock and politically charged diatribes sound just as great and relevant today as they did in their heyday.
