“Providential Men” opens with much warmth from the mesmerizing progressions thanks to Lovin’s strong attention to detail, and “Toccata” follows with the animated keys making for an exciting and flowing display of incredible talent.
Halfway through, “Magi From The East” offers a soft moment of heartfelt gestures, while “Veni Emmanuel” benefits from a busy approach that can rumble, just as it can emit much color in its unpredictable nature.
Close to the end, “Childhood” offers an emotive and intimate mood of timeless beauty, and “Tantum Ergo” exits with poeticism and ambience that’s stirring in its meticulous nature.
A highly technical but easily accessible body of work. those with a penchant for piano music will be captivated by Lovin’s presence.
