Listen to Spring

An incredible pairing, Tierney Sutton’s vocals and Tamir Hendelman’s keys come together for this first studio effort that yields 12 memorable jazz tracks.

The first 2 songs are by Jobim. “Double Rainbow” showcases animated piano playing amid the expressive and pretty singing, and “Waters Of March” follows with the playful scatting and bright key progressions that are upbeat and charming.

Further along, “I Can Get Along Without You Very Well” lands in intimate territory thanks to the lovely keys and emotive singing, while “Spring” is a lush and poetic album highlight that blends the piano and flawless vocals with much sophistication.

Closer to the end, “Spring, Spring, Spring” starts a cappella before Hendelman’s frisky fingers enter, and “L.O.V.E.” exits with vocal acrobatics and bright piano making an indelible impression.

The rapport between the pair is admirable, and the songs have a spontaneous feel, where the musical conversation seems effortless via the duo’s respective talents that touches on timeless piano and vocal jazz.
